Draft, not a final version
This page is a working draft that needs review by a person, ideally a lawyer or whoever ends up responsible for the shop, before Big Talk Club sells anything. Don't publish it and don't treat it as a policy you can rely on until it has been checked and the missing details filled in.
Terms
Terms of Sale
These terms cover buying digital materials from Big Talk Club, PDF lessons today and, once it launches, access to the interactive version on platform.bigtalkclub.com. They apply from the moment the shop opens.
1. Who you're buying from
Materials sold through the Big Talk Club shop are sold by [to be completed: seller's registered name], [to be completed: legal form of the business], tax ID [to be completed: tax identification number], registered at [to be completed: registered address]. VAT treatment: [to be completed: how VAT is handled]. For order and complaint questions, reach us at [to be completed: order and complaints email address] or through the contact form on the site.
2. What you're buying
You're buying digital English teaching and learning materials made by Big Talk Club. Depending on the material, that means two PDF files, one for the student and one for the teacher, ready for print and for working on screen. Once platform.bigtalkclub.com is live, some materials will also include access to an interactive version in the browser, tied to your account. You're never buying a physical item or a mailed delivery, only digital content.
3. How buying works
Purchases happen through the shop at bigtalkclub.com. You pick a material, add it to your cart and go to checkout. Before you confirm the order, you'll see a summary of exactly what you're buying, at what price and on what terms, including the note about losing your right of withdrawal covered in section 9 below and on the separate Refunds page.
4. Payment methods
Payments are handled by a third party payment provider, Stripe. Available methods include card payment, Przelewy24 bank transfer and BLIK, depending on what Stripe offers in your country at the time. We treat an order as paid only once Stripe confirms the payment.
5. How we deliver your files
Once payment clears, the download becomes available in your account, and a download link is also sent to the email address used at checkout. Download links are only valid for a limited time and are meant for you alone, so please don't share them further. Access to the interactive version, where it exists, activates automatically on your account at platform.bigtalkclub.com.
6. Technical requirements
To open and print the PDF files you need a PDF reader and, if you want to print, a printer. To use the interactive version you need an up to date web browser and an internet connection. We can't guarantee everything works on outdated browsers or on devices that fall short of these requirements.
7. Your licence, what you can do
Buying a material gives you the right to use it with your own students, one to one, in pairs, in small groups or with a full class, to teach with it in the classroom and online, to print it for your own teaching as many times as you need, and to reuse the same material again and again, including with new groups in later years, at no extra cost.
8. What you can't do
Buying a material doesn't give you the right to resell it, in whole or in part, to share it with other teachers or with anyone outside your own classes, to publish it online, in full or in extracts, or to use it as part of a course, training programme or other product you sell on.
The licence covers one teacher, or one school named at checkout. If you need a licence covering more teachers at the same school, get in touch through the contact form and we'll work it out with you.
9. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Big Talk Club materials are digital content delivered as soon as you pay, so your right of withdrawal ends the moment your download starts, provided you gave clear, informed consent to that at checkout. The full picture, including how that consent works at checkout and what happens if a file turns out to be faulty, is on the Refunds page.
10. Complaints
If a file is corrupted, incomplete or won't open despite meeting the technical requirements, contact us through the contact form or at [to be completed: order and complaints email address], with your order number and a description of the problem. We aim to respond as quickly as we can, within whatever timeframe consumer protection law requires. Where a complaint is justified, we send a corrected file or refund what you paid.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example as the shop's offering or the law changes. Any change applies only to orders placed after it takes effect, earlier orders stay covered by the terms in force when you bought. The current version of these terms is always available on this page, with the last updated date at the bottom.
12. Governing law
Contracts made through the Big Talk Club shop are governed by Polish law and applicable consumer protection rules, including EU law on distance contracts and the sale of digital content. If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest still stands.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms, orders or licensing go through the contact form on the site, or to the address named in section 1, Who you're buying from.
